Colt McCoy is starting again. Now, I remember saying that if Colt McCoy was named the starter against New England, "I'd fall out of my chair." I just didn't know it would be so severe -- just kidding.
On the serious side of this, I think we're looking at the "hedged bet" playing out in real life. Eric Mangini, has stated that it's possible Seneca Wallace could get playing time on Sunday, listing him as questionable. By waving the "Colt McCoy is starting" flag and then listing Wallace as questionable, he leaves his options open. I guess that right now, for Eric Mangini, open options are the best kind.

I thought to myself, if there's one positive to take out of last Sunday's loss to the Raven's, it's the performance of running back Peyton Hillis. It seems that Eric Mangini agrees with me and has indicated that Hillis is "likely" to start. I would hope so. Eric Mangini appears to be hedging, to allow for the shleprock effect, which would prevent the aforementioned likely start. I'll have more on the shleprock effect later in the week, as we review, once again, just how we got here as Browns fans. Job one now is to point that as a counterpoint to all the things Browns that you're not going to want to watch this season, Peyton Hillis serves as what might be a fitting motivation to keep you watching the game.

The slow news cycle has given me a good excuse to be lazy and, much to the dismay of my TBF cohorts, fall down on my post-production duties. I'm getting it together, and finishing up the final mix down, blah blah blah . . . Anyway, it'll be out on Monday evening. Look for it and enjoy.
